- Workflow is a standard mean for the structural and certified organization of a company
business. It is primarily a structured way to document the activities of an enterprise as
regulated in ISO-900x standard. SAP R/3 implements the ideas of ISO- Business-Workflow. It
is meant to trigger subsequent actions when committing a transaction. This technology can
also be used to easily define execution chains of transactions or to trigger user actions
without the need to modify the SAP standard code.

- SAP R/3 documention unfortunately concentrates only on the definition of the
organization flow built around the HR module. This chapter will concentrate on
demonstrating the programming steps and table settings, to chain program execution.
